The 2026 M. Tucker & Sons Open Day at our Mt Evelyn Head Office brought together local councils, industry professionals and valued clients for a hands-on look at the innovative civil construction, infrastructure maintenance and environmental solutions we deliver across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The day provided visitors with the opportunity to experience live demonstrations, tour our facilities and learn more about the technologies helping councils and asset owners maintain critical infrastructure more efficiently, sustainably and cost-effectively.

Rather than simply talking about our capabilities, we wanted attendees to see them in action.
Throughout the day, our team conducted a series of live demonstrations showcasing some of the specialised technologies and services that M. Tucker & Sons provides to local government, water authorities, contractors and infrastructure managers.
Visitors were able to speak directly with our experienced team, ask technical questions and gain a better understanding of how these proven solutions are being used on projects throughout Victoria.

One of the highlights of the day was our live UV pipe relining demonstration using Impreg Liners.
UV cured pipe relining has become one of the most efficient trenchless rehabilitation methods available, allowing deteriorated pipelines to be structurally renewed without the need for costly excavation.
During the demonstration, attendees watched the complete installation process, including:
The demonstration highlighted why UV pipe relining continues to be a preferred solution for councils looking to rehabilitate stormwater, sewer and drainage infrastructure while minimising disruption to roads, parks and surrounding communities.

Visitors also experienced a live steam pipe relining demonstration, showcasing another effective trenchless rehabilitation technique used across a wide range of pipeline applications.
Steam curing provides an efficient installation method for many pipe rehabilitation projects and is particularly suited to situations where rapid curing and minimal downtime are essential.
Our technical team explained the advantages of steam curing, project suitability and how each relining method is selected based on pipeline condition, diameter, location and asset requirements.
Seeing both UV and steam curing methods side by side gave attendees valuable insight into the flexibility of modern trenchless pipe rehabilitation.
Another popular attraction was the guided tour of our concrete production facilities.
Guests were able to see firsthand how M. Tucker & Sons produces recycled and low carbon concrete products, supporting more sustainable construction outcomes across Victoria.
The tour demonstrated how recycled materials are incorporated into our concrete production while maintaining the quality and performance required for civil infrastructure projects.
With councils increasingly focused on reducing embodied carbon and improving environmental outcomes, visitors were interested to learn more about how these innovative products can contribute to more sustainable road, drainage and public infrastructure projects.
Our team discussed:

We were thrilled to welcome representatives from several Victorian councils who took the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in trenchless technology and sustainable civil construction.
Attending organisations included teams from:
Having so many industry professionals together created an excellent environment for discussion, knowledge sharing and collaboration around the future of infrastructure maintenance and asset management.

No open day would be complete without great coffee.
A special thank you goes to Via Cucina Coffee Trailer, who kept everyone fuelled throughout the day with exceptional coffee and refreshments.
Their friendly service helped create a relaxed atmosphere where visitors could network, catch up with industry colleagues and continue conversations between demonstrations.
